Shanghai Superconductor signed industry-university-research cooperation agreement with Lanzhou University

On September 28, 2022, the signing ceremony of industry-university-research cooperation between Shanghai Superconductor Technology Co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as "Shanghai Superconductor") and Lanzhou University was held in Qilian Hall of Lanzhou University. Academician Zhou Youhe, Dean of School of Civil Engineering and Mechanics and Research Institute of Superconducting Mechanics of Lanzhou University attended and delivered a speech. Cao Aihui, Vice Secretary of Lanzhou University, Wang Chaoping, Dean of Research Institute of Lanzhou University, Professor Huang Ning, Dean of School of Civil Engineering and Mechanics of Lanzhou University, Secretary Li Xiaoli, Vice Dean of Professor Wang Shengzhe, Chairman of Shanghai Superconductor, legal person Ma Tao, executive director Hong Zhiyong, President Zhu Jiamin attended the signing ceremony.

At the signing ceremony, Executive Director Hong Zhiyong introduced the current situation and future development of Shanghai Superconductor. At present, Shanghai Superconductor has become a world-class and domestic leading supplier of second-generation high temperature superconductor materials. It is also the superconductor material supplier of several major superconducting demonstration projects in China and small nuclear fusion projects abroad. High composite talents and technological breakthroughs are required in terms of product performance and key technologies. Prof. Wang Shengzhe introduced the recent development of the superconducting Electromagnetic Solid Mechanics Laboratory.

Two sides signed strategic cooperation agreement

Subsequently, President Zhu Jiamin and Dean of Research Institute Wang Chaoping signed the contract on behalf of both sides. Two sides will carry out comprehensive cooperation in the preparation process of second-generation high temperature superconductor materials, mechanical properties improvement, comprehensive characterization of multi-field properties, and development of high temperature superconducting magnets so as to give full play to their respective advantages and promote the deep integration of industry, university, research and application.
