2025-02-28
On February 27th, the ceremony for awarding the second batch of Shanghai Innovative Enterprise Headquarters was held. Gong Zheng, Deputy Secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Shanghai, presented awards to 49 innovative enterprise headquarters. The list of recognized companies was read out by Executive Vice Mayor Wu Wei, and Shanghai Superconductor was among them.

In February 2023, Shanghai first introduced the concept of “innovative enterprise headquarters” and released the “Shanghai Innovative Enterprise Headquarters Recognition and Reward Management Measures.” These measures provide specific regulations on the recognition, rewards, services, and facilitation of innovative enterprise headquarters, offering policy support to optimize the business environment for innovative enterprises in Shanghai. On December 5, 2023, the first batch of 40 companies was awarded.

Enterprises honored with the title of “innovative enterprise headquarters” are mainly concentrated in key strategic emerging industries. They independently possess core intellectual property rights for products or services with domestic and international influence. Their technological level and innovation capabilities are at the forefront of the industry, giving them significant competitive advantages and high growth potential in the market. These companies are industry leaders that make important contributions to local economic and social development or have a leading and driving role.
A total of 49 "innovative enterprise headquarters" were awarded in this event, covering five major key industries: integrated circuits, biomedicine, artificial intelligence, digital economy, and strategic emerging comprehensive fields. As a representative enterprise in the strategic emerging comprehensive field, Shanghai Superconductor was successfully selected for its profound technical accumulation and continuous innovation in the field of superconducting materials. The company's self-developed second-generation high-temperature superconducting tapes are at the industry-leading level. The construction of its production and headquarters base has further enhanced its mass supply capabilities, providing strong material support for the high-quality development of superconducting applications.
Shanghai Superconductor's successful selection is not only an encouragement for the company's continuous innovation but also a policy drive to strengthen innovation across the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain while focusing on material development. The company will continue to rapidly expand the application of high-temperature superconducting technology and contribute to Shanghai's innovative economic development.
