With REBCO HTS tapes supplied by Shanghai Superconductor Technology (SST), Supermag Energy Technology has hit two major milestones in its 25T-class high-temperature superconducting (HTS) toroidal field (TF) model magnet program.
1. Batch production of panel-type HTS single-pancake coils
2. Successful development and performance verification of low-resistance demountable joint samples
Both milestones point to one goal: single-pancake coils that can be built and tested independently, then integrated into a complete model magnet — reliably, with low resistance and easy to maintain.
